Yarn range

The sheep and alpaca fleeces that go into our yarns are selected for quality, colour and texture.  Each yarn type is described in terms of breed, ply (or weight), spinning process and provenance.

Shetland breed yarn

Sourced from two pedigree flocks in the Scottish Borders, this yarn is 100% wool, comes in two gauges (DK and 4PLY) is super soft and naturally coloured.

Boreray blend lopi yarn

Spun as a single strand, this 100% wool yarn is our signature product from Westfield Croft sheep. It is a blend of Boreray and Icelandic (blended fleeces and crossbred sheep) that produce a soft, yet durable lopi style yarn.

Shetland and Bluefaced Leicester blend yarn

Sourced from two pedigree flocks in the Scottish Borders, this yarn is 100% wool, comes in two gauges (DK and 4PLY) and is a natural cream colour.  Super soft, yet durable.
